Schools across Punjab will organise Milad programmes on August 25, 2026, which falls on 11th Rabi-ul-Awwal. The arrangements will cover both government and private educational institutions across the province.
The activities are being planned as part of the preparations for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH). This will be a time when schools can inform their students of the life, character and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
August 25 Set for School Milad Activities
The school-level programmes will take place on Tuesday, August 25.
Both public and private schools are included in the arrangements. Individual institutions may decide how to organise their programmes and what activities to include according to the instructions they receive.
A Seerat Tayyaba symposium is also part of the wider arrangements.
For students, the focus is expected to remain on learning about Seerat and understanding values such as kindness, peace, respect and unity.
Eid Milad-un-Nabi Will Be Observed the Following Day
The school programme on August 25 comes one day before 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, the day on which Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) will be observed.
This means students and schools will take part in the planned Milad activities on one date, while the main religious occasion will be observed the following day.

Punjab Preparing for Wider Celebrations
The school programmes are part of broader arrangements being made across Punjab for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
Authorities have also planned facilities along major procession routes, including water stalls for participants.
Green lighting will be used on prominent buildings, banks and government and private offices as part of the occasion.
Special arrangements are also being made in Punjab’s prisons, where sweets will be distributed among inmates.
Schools Expected to Promote Peace and Unity
The authorities have stressed that the occasion should be observed in a peaceful and respectful manner.
This is a chance for schools to merge the religious programme with educational activities focused on Seerat and values of the life and message of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
