Among the Pakistani universities listed, COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) achieved the strongest position, ranking 410th in the world with an overall score of 52.0.
The rankings cover universities from more than 100 countries and place a strong emphasis on research performance, academic reputation and scholarly impact.
COMSATS Leads Pakistani Universities
COMSATS University Islamabad is the highest-ranked Pakistani institution in the 2026-27 list.
It is followed by Quaid-i-Azam University, which secured the 451st position globally with a score of 50.7. The University of Lahore ranked third among Pakistani institutions at 479th worldwide.

Harvard Takes the Global Lead
At the top of the overall international ranking, Harvard University secured first place.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) came second, followed by Stanford University. The University of Oxford ranked fourth, while the University of Cambridge completed the global top five.

The new list provides students with a platform to make comparative assessments between Pakistani Universities and other Universities in the world.
