The Punjab School Education Department has directed all public and private schools in the province to use the Educational Institutions Security Status (EISS) mobile application and web portal.
The new system will collect security-related information from schools and give education authorities a central place to monitor the status of safety arrangements across Punjab.
The instructions were issued by the Directorate General of Monitoring and Evaluation through a letter dated August 23, 2026.
What Is the EISS Security System?
The EISS platform is being introduced as a digital system for recording and monitoring security information at educational institutions.
The Punjab Home Department directed the development of the system, while the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) was responsible for its development and operational setup.

District Authorities Asked to Ensure Compliance
