The University of the Punjab has announced the second merit list for regular undergraduate admissions for the 2026-27 academic session.
The list was scheduled to be displayed on August 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Candidates who applied for regular BS programmes can now check their selection status through the university’s admission system.
The second list covers admissions to BS 1st Semester and BS 5th Semester programmes.

For students who have been selected, the next step is important. Punjab University has given selected candidates until August 17, 2026 to deposit the required dues and complete the remaining admission formalities.
The payment must be made within banking hours. Students who miss the deadline could lose their admission offer.

What If Your Name Is Not on the Second List?
Being placed on the second merit list doesn’t mean the admission process is stopped.
More merit lists are being planned by Punjab University in the next few days. The third list will be distributed on August 19, and then again on August 24.
If needed, a final 5th list will be on the 28th of August 2026.
The students who are waiting to get admission should not get confused as there is no particular time after which they will not be able to take admission in the University.
How to Check Punjab University Merit List 2026
The merit list can be seen on the Punjab University Admission Portal.
Once the portal is opened, click Merit Lists and choose a semester and programme. Then the list of available candidates can be checked to see whether the candidate has been admitted or not.
Be sure to review the programme information to make sure you have applied to multiple programmes.
Separate Schedule for Other Programmes
Different merit list schedule of Punjabi University is applicable in Self-Supporting, Afternoon, Evening and Replica programmes.
The first merit list will be drawn on 13 August 2026 and the second list will be drawn on 19 August 2026 for these categories.
It is therefore recommended that students should check the admission schedule according to their respective category of admission and not just with regard to dates announced for regular programmes.
Important Information for Selected Students
Don’t wait till the last day to pay the fee if your name is in the Punjab University 2nd Merit List 2026. Do all the formalities and pay dues on time within the university.
