Allama Iqbal Open University has announced the entry test dates for PhD, MPhil and MS admissions for Autumn 2026.
The tests will be held from August 24 to August 28, 2026, with different dates assigned to applicants from different faculties. All candidates are required to appear on the date fixed for their programme.
AIOU Entry Test Schedule for August 2026
The first test will be held for applicants applying to programmes under the Faculty of Education. Their test is scheduled for August 24.
Candidates applying through the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities will take their test on August 27, while the Faculty of Sciences has scheduled its test for August 28.
All three tests will start at 9:00 AM.

Where Will AIOU Conduct the Tests?
AIOU will hold the entry tests at its Academic Complex at the main campus in H-8, Islamabad.
Students can also appear at the university’s regional campuses in Multan, Quetta, Karachi and Gilgit.
AIOU has allowed applicants to choose any of the listed test centres according to their convenience. The important point is that the test must be taken on the date assigned to the applicant’s faculty.
What Happens After the Entry Test?
Clearing the entry test is only the next step in the admission process.
According to the university’s schedule, candidates who qualify for the PhD, MPhil or MS entry test will be called for an interview. The final merit will be prepared after the test and interview stages are completed.
So, candidates should keep checking their admission updates even after appearing in the test.
