Regional Studies is the publication of the Institute of Regional Studies (IRS). In consideration of IRS’s agreement to publish the work, the author(s) grant IRS an exclusive royalty-free license to print, publish, reproduce, or distribute the work throughout the world by all means of expression, including electronic format. The author(s) further grant IRS the right to use the author(s) name in association with the work in published form and in promotional materials. This implies that the copyrights are duly reserved by the IRS. However, if the author intends to present the article submitted to or published by Regional Studies at any academic forum, the author is bound to seek authorization prior to proceeding with it. Authors also grant any third party the right to use the article freely as long as its integrity is maintained and its original authors, citation details and publisher are identified.
